>Should I read the thing I'm interested in. The thought of forming an opinion on my own is terrifying and I need validation.

Fuck off. In the time it took me to insult you you could have started. Fuck you.

Stop if you lose interest

Sounds like u answered for yourself. I only read the first 2 books but I thought they where great. I need to finish them
>>
>>152167421
Read the original run and stop. The original run is great, the sequel series currently (?) running is god fucking awful
>>
>>152167421
Its good up until the obvious end point. Then it ties something new and then drops the new concepts to just rehash the old set up with more modern day refrences.

only read the first 22? chapters dont read the second series its fucking trash and stupid the art takes a massive dive and the writing is insulting

The first series is fun stupid yet fun
>>

Read the original run. You can dip into the revival after, but you might be cautious about it.

Everyone has said it already, so I will just copy-paste a comment I made some time ago.

I would overall recommend the original run, Skottie Young's art carries it hard, if you like it and want more IHF, go for Untold Tales of I Hate Fairyland (keep in mind that "Fluff the World" is not on the TPB, so you will have to go to Skottie's substack) and the first volume of the second run (Volume 5). After that, the writing quality takes a nosedive, the biggest problem is that by that point, the second run abandons its original premise of being a sequel to the first run and doubles down on being a mediocre rethread instead. I do like Laufman's artwork for the just started third run from what I have seen from previews and covers, he did the art for one story in Untold Tales.

The art remind me the french comics " game over " that was for me the french equivalent of garfield

Peoples just cant be fans of media and just friendly want to talk in a friendly way about media ?

The fact that Vol 2 got a fuckton of Peach Momoko variants and it sucks makes me feel so bad. Do I go for the deluxe hardcovers or the big Compendium, is there any difference?

It says a lot she stopped drawing those variant covers after #10, her Cloudia design for #10 is 10/10.
She did pic for the 2024 Winter Jojo magazine.

IIRC the compendium is better since it’s bigger and retains the extras.

I stopped reading it after book 3. It's pretty good & really charming but quality was starting to dip and filler became more present.

I don't even read but this one actually got me into reading other comics.

Whats your opinion on IHE anons?
>>
>>152170155
I guess that makes it worth getting the third hardcover and stopping there. How have 41 onwards been? I see nobody talking about them and the reviews for the recent issues seem surprisingly high
>>
>>152170341
I only read #45 which is a "Gert meets Popeye and Olive Oil since they are now in the public domain" story since somebody story timed it (https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/151023175 if you are interested), I think its a decently entertaining episodic IHF story, from what I've heard opinions on this run's writing so far go from "back to basics" to "aimless".

What's your opinion on IHE anons?
Haven't watched him in years.
>>
>>152172145
I agree with the general sentiment, he should've stayed on art and let someone else write. The new art isn't even bad, it's just clear that the author doesn't have much of a vision after ending it the first time. It'd be nice to get back the old Gert though in the 50th. With how much emphasis is being put on the 50th issue, I hope he has some plan
