They are significant historical characters in the main series. Dunk becomes Lord Commander of the Kingsguard and Egg becomes King Aegon V. Jaime and I think Brienne both ponder on Dunk's contributions to knighthood

And their fate Egg starts dreaming of dragons like Daeron in this story, and tries a dangerous ritual to hatch dragon eggs at Summerhall. Both he and Dunk die in this tragedy, at the same time Prince Rhaegar (the Mad King's son who took Ned Stark's sister) was born

The show kept the shadow baby, wargs, and time travel. They skipped out on the House of the Undying weirdness, Black Hate door, and all the Starks kids having warging abilities. I guess Euron was also heavily downgraded from a potential warlock to just a evil pirate who swears a lot, but he could easily just be a con artist in the books for all we know.

Yeah the line art is good, if generic.
But where I think criticism should be levied, is where the art just doesn't reflect what's been written.
Like;
