This was advertised as an adaptation of the original comic and a jumping in point for newcomers. But then the actual show pulls the rug out from under the audience and now newcomers are forced to do homework and hunt down the comic/movie anyway just to get context of what the hell they've even watched.It's fucking FF7R all over again. Though to give Takes Off any credit, unlike FF7R it at least had the decency to fuck off after the subversion reveal.
