>>152185500What if they tried telling interesting stories with competent art
>>152185500Comic on the left looks fun
>>152185500I would say >>152185532And making their comics worthwhile. You see how trades and graphic novels, that are good still sell.Maybe they should invest in social media to promote their stuff. We see how anime and reaction to it boosts their Manga sales, they should have cartoons and movies that are 80% what their comics are.See how Invincible did that, the cartoon is a very good adaptations of the comics.
>>152185500Fuck off mangatard
>>152185500They should just continue their outrage = sales strategy, why change what works?
>>152185500Superman is overpowered. Literally invincible except for his one weakness, a green rock
they can't because if the writing isn't garbage it's the art or both primarily the fact that it's both 90% of the time
>>152185500More direct adaptions. It really is that fucking simple.
>>152186399Sure, secondary.
>>152186420sorry bro i got dubs so i wini actively read comics so how am i a secondary? go into any comic thread and people say the exact same so why is it that in this instance i'm in the wrong?
>>152185500make actually stories instead of never retiring their characters
In the 80s, comics were cheaply produced, disposable, cost 60 cents ($2 adjusted for inflation) and had huge numbers of kids reading them. They're just too expensive now.
>>152185500Write good comics? Actually have accessible cheap reprints of collected older works separated from the modern stuff?
>>152185558No it's not but it did get people to at least read the actual comics for a while.
>>152185518>>152185566They keep making this thread because you keep replying every single time without fail. These are the comic book-related threads on /co/ that get the most discussion. If you all jumped on actual comic book discussion threads this way, the board would be healthier.
>>152185500
>>152185500Marvel/DC is not a comic publisher - they're an IP real estate company.
>>152188001Comics are bad though, who would want to discuss them?
>>152188307Nope
>>152185500convince bookstores to stock them. The bookstores around me have graphic novels and tintin comics, but not anything like floppies.
>>152186417Most comics are not like most manga, so you can't do a 1 to 1 adaption.
>>152188466Floppies definitely don't sell to anyone but niche older comic fans or retards who think their value with skyrocket.
>>152186417>>152188521Most comics are one shots/limited series if you ignore the messy universes of the big 2. In fact many movies are just shy adaptations of comics that never advertise they were originally from a comic, which is the problem. I feel comics keep getting abused when it comes to adaptations because the adaptation is treated like a replacement for the source material and usually eclipses the original. Compare this to books, everyone knows book adaptation has a source material you are incentivized to read just to compare the changes
>>152185500The Freiza fight is one of the most poorly drawn ones in all of dragon ball
>>152185500Comic publishers should prop up comic book writers and hire them like directors for movies, give them a chance to release all their work and then move on to the next writer/artist and whoever the people like the most writes for a year and it keeps going like that
>>152189432They have big enough egos already. Most of them completely undeserving.
>>152188317nope what?
>>152185500Fight sequences are the "Drum solo" of comics
