Why didn't Babs do like Grace and inject herself with Orca DNA to walk again?
>>152186255Why not just inject herself with Leg DNA to walk again?
>>152186255.....you know that's a good question

>>152186541She'd turn into a giant leg then, dumbass
How is that supposed to work? Orcas don't even have legs
>>152187688Anything after the initial Hama issues doesnt matter. Ffs people seem to think she’s a nightwing character now
>>152187861>>152186541>>152186872>>152186255Read the fucking comic you retard.
>>152189151>reading comics rather than stanning and gooning blindly Where do you think we are?
>>152186255That would be a fun "imaginary story" issue. >character turns into a little kid>character becomes fat>character turns into an animalall great story ideas that modern comics simply don't do enough of.
>>152190133I don’t know, I don’t see what more there is to do with the concept. The character was wheelchair-bound. Took the treatment and turned into an orca. Decided to do it once and for all and lost all humanity. They would never have Barbara write herself out of continuity so it makes zero sense to basically do the same story beat for beat just to bullshit an excuse for her not becoming an orca.Frankly as >>152189138 said using the character any further is just dumb. Maybe a short appearance in aquaman would make sense but she was never even really a villain.
>>152186255This comic was really dumb
>>152187688>nothing in three yearsGrim
They're all criminals.
>>152192146Titans was last year. I think the run started in ‘23, hence the date. Still, aside from that and a blip of a cameo in Creature Commandos, she hasn’t seen any use lately.
>>152192234What’s her most recent canon appearance? Is it Titans?
>>152192247Near as I can tell, her last appearance is still that one-and-done jobbing in Titans.
Aquaman should hook up with Orca and get her FAT.
>>152192247picrel is from her last appearance in Titans #23 from May of last year
>>152193722>tfw my /co/ and /a/ waifus are both black and white anthro jobbersI…I have a type!
>>152194538Who's the /a/ jobber?
>>152193722>>152194538>jobbersIt must be depressing to be them>>152193178Yes.
>>152194557Wolvermon, from Digimon Beatbreak. I’m hoping that she gets a win next week since it seems to be her episode.>>152194597I still root for them. It makes even the small victories special.
>>152194754>google spoiler>pic relatedOof. I’ll root for her too for you
>>152186255I know why you made this thread. Get to it.
>>152194754>she
>>152190573Orca is something of a, and I hate to use the word but can't think of a better one, deconstruction. She becomes Orca to get back at the rich bitch fucking with her, but said rich bitch barely has anything to do with Grace. Her paralysis was an accident years prior, her research funding was cut because she herself violated research norms and laws, and Richie Bitch is using criminal methods to facilitate redeveloping properties that have already been foreclosed on due to Grace not paying. Meanwhile Grace has zero idea how to even be a criminal, keeps strong arm robbing the same person repeatedly, gets her accomplice killed by sending him in alone to negotiate fencing stolen property when he has no idea what he's doing, and finally winds up mutated into a whale woman when her target brings a gun. Then the story ends with Bruce taking down Grace's nemesis in a single day for the crimes Grace didn't know about along with saving the community center and aquarium Grace worked at after earlier in the story Grace explicitly refused charity because she thought all rich people were the same. Orca's origin story is her making the worst decisions over and over until she's a threat to herself and everyone around her while being too egotistic and myopic to consider a better choice.
