Transformers, Go-Bots, Rescue Bots, etc. Transforming robots thread. If you wanted to introduce a friend to one of these franchises, which cartoon show or comic would you recommend? For me, it's still the G1 show, although I would consider the new Skybound 2023 comics under Dean Warren Johnson for someone more into modern "hardcore" grimdeath. And honestly I would love to recommend Beast Wars but the animation just does not hold up to modern standards and would be a turn-off for most new viewers.

Currently on the back half of the G1 compendiums. I have a PDF version of the Till All Are One version that I read in-between the physical retail compendiums I have. Holy shit can Simon Furman stop sucking Galvatron's dick please. Overall good reads and I'm excited to get to the G2 stuff here soon.

I liked a lot of the IDW comics stuff, even if it crashed and burned near the end. If I was gonna get a friend into transformers though, it'd be G1 or the Marvel comics if they're more into that. They're all tough sells for various reasons but apparently some of my cousins got into it recently through the movie, so I have no clue. What got me into it was watching thew reviews and thinking a train and a space ship fused into one was the dopest shit ever

Someone mentioned in the last thread how similar Cy-Kill and Beast Wars Megatron are, except that Cy-Kill actually cares about his best warriors, while Megatron would use you as a shield just because it's funny to him. This made me wonder what Dinobot would think of Cy-Kill. Do you think he would try to overtake him? And how about Cy-Kil, would he exile Dinobot? would he take his challenge more seriously?
Other than Optimus, Rodimus, Grimlock and Ultra Magnus, are there any non-combiner/titan/omega supreme G1 autobots above him in raw strength alone?

I'm waiting on the Energon thread for Wednesday but I'm still catching up and enjoying the comics. I've settled with the fact this will be a more edgy Transformers series but it gets comical sometimes
