I finally watched Space King. Great stuff, but I was a little disapointed that the most recent episode was a little weaker than the others.

Hatemonger being a parody of the jerk character role in sitcoms is pretty funny. He actually never makes problems for anyone and is consistent and straightforward about his attitudes and behavior. He just hates aliens (they deserve it).

Zach whatshisname did a voice for episode 4, but did they let him do some of the writing or something? It has the same meandering, not-very-funny quality that many episodes of Smiling Friend have. All the references to something semi-well-known like the stop-motion Rudolph one-shot from the '60s (without much actual parody) also makes it seem that way.

His humor works better in spread out, short bursts, and his voice acting leaves a bit to be desired for any character that's not either slow and tired or shrill and spastic. He's not one you should put in the forefront in the main role. Give him someone to bounce off of instead and he does a lot better.
