Would the Court of Owls get more traction/likeability if it had a central figurehead/leaders? Because as it stands they're just vague rich assholes who dont do anything nor warrant their supposed "control" over Gotham
>>152205910Yes. Getting rid of Lincoln March was a mistake.
>>152205910gotham has enough crime factions as is
>>152205910They don't do anything and they don't seem to have any goals as far as I can remember.
>>152205910Them being a secret society is more unique and creepy than just having them fill the same roll that any of the dozens of supervillains can fill.
The story would have worked better as a DickBats story, but it was made into a Bruce one where Snyder tried to force in some fake brother for Bruce to make it personal.
>>152205910Haven't read this, but I heard they were a dumber version of the Black Glove, which was already pretty dumb. Also, just got back from searching reddit about this very thing, and it turns out they preferred Court of Owls to RIP.
>>152206902Lincoln March was based off an old Batman story, actually https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Thomas_Wayne,_Jr._(Earth-One) from the 50s. It's where Owlman came from too, he's Bruce's brother if he survived and Bruce didn't
>>152205910>Would the Court of Owls get more traction/likeability if it had a central figurehead/leaders?Yes, but it would also make it more poorly written. The whole concept would be dumbed-down to the point the figurehead would basically be a supervillain and the court would be seen as his henchmen. This would increase the popularity compared to an Eyes Wide Shut-inspired secret society, because it'd be easier to comprehend.
Owlman.
