Kind of sad that it took MacKay having to use the aftermath of the Mystique miniseries as a part of the build-up to AoR for the X-Office to actually remember about this mini.
Hopefully Mystique can reveal the meaning of these flashbacks next issue.
And now for Spider-Man & Wolverine.
Previously in Peter and Logan's team-up adventures, the duo got teleported to Earth-4587 to deal with Arachnix! After managing to narrowly escape him, they both returned to Reed-4587 and confronted him about the multiple previous variants of the duo that had faced Arachnix and died, only for Reed-4587 to reveal that those variants - like Arachnix - neither had Spider-Sense nor adamantium bones. Unfortunately for Peter and Logan, Reed-4587 also revealed to them that he could not send them immediately back to Earth-616, meaning that Arachnix would have enough time to come back and fight them again.Peter devised a plan to defeat Arachnix, by having the duo go pick a fight with Arachnix's team the Revengers to distract him from getting shot by Reed-4587. But the Revengers were one step ahead, as they not only were able to ambush them before the plan could be pulled off, Arachnix kills Reed-4587, trapping Peter and Logan in this reality!
Oh that's clever. Since there are no actual heroes in this world for them to fight against, they just immediately fold against Peter and Logan.
And they're worthy now (in this universe, at least).

Two months ago, we saw how the AoA X-Men in their quest of restoring Earth-295 as the "main" timeline had managed to jump to the events of X-Men Prime and met up with Nate Grey. After a brief misunderstanding/obligatory fight scene which ended up causing the X-Men at the time to get involved and then promptly hit with the continuity K.O. + mindwipe combo, Nate joined the team and helped them get to where they were really meant to land: the O5 X-Men era!
So we went from X-Men Prime to X-Men #1. Kind of a massive jump, don't you think?
