I still love UXM and had some fun with other titles but Kelly Thompson put it best in a recent interview: they were given a surprising amount of space and time to come together and do what they wanted to do. They each had a want to really look over things and handle this well, with a friendly rivalry of each wanting to be the book that wowed the most. There were no rampant egos, just people bouncing ideas off and wanting to prove themselves and their work.
