It wasn't wacky and exciting enough to be the new Phineas and Ferb.It didn't have the Simpson's style appeal of Big City GreensIt doesn't have a mysterious or intriguing enough setting to be the new Gravity Falls or Amphibia.It didn't have enough easy fanfic/shipbait and sexual tension to be the new Star vs. or Owl House.It didn't have a tight and snappy cast like Molly McGee, which had the tact to have a tight ending when it's luck ran out without further renewal.It didn't have the recognition of beloved show runners Dan Povenmire or Swampy Marsh like Milo Murphy's Law or Hamster and GretelAll of its advertising and online conversations about it ended up trying to shove it into a role it wasn't made for, the premise and episode to episode plots feel very disjointed and the first season really didn't do it any favors, it ended up on the chopping block after it and it's peers of other scatter shot shows failed to meet the target profit, not to mention the major hits that Disney were trying to get working also flopped at the time so they decided to cut their losses on the small stuff while trying to salvage what little goodwill they had with a large swath of their target demographics. Hailey's on it only could've coasted on a major success from another property, which didn't happen so it got cancelled along with DVA getting nuked and restructured more for streaming and sticking to current IPs instead of making new ones.

>>152324358Funnily enough, the pilot seems to have two art styles distinct from the show.The old, OLD pilot is what you describe, with the bulgy eyed Simpsons/Family Guy looking charactersThe new pilot was the one that aired on TV, very close to the art style, but it had a little bit more detail/roundness to it. Hailey looked cuter especially on the tunnel of love ride. The rest of the series kept it mostly the same, but it felt stiffer.
