>>152318284National Film Registry has lost all credit since they accepted The Dark Knight.
>>152318438it’s about time he was recognized as a national treasure
>>152319539That was the same year they recognized Shrek so your "opinion" is objectively wrong.

So what are the odds Incredibles 3 commits to a time-skip finally? 'Cause it's feeling like Bird never really WANTED to expand on the first film. I wouldn't be surprised if he was making these sequels simply to appease Disney's greed and the fans who want to "age with the characters." When I learned Jack-Jack's many powers was a commentary on how babies are "full of potential," that's when I began to fear Bird only ever hoped to make the one standalone film all those years back.
>>152327241Bird stated around I2's release that he doesn't really want to age them up since their dynamic as it is is what appeals to him. While I3 won't be directed by him, he's still writing the script so I don't think that'll change. And yeah, he obviously din't want to make the second one in the first place.
>>152321433Nope
>>152327241Maybe, to be honest I've never wanted a significant time skip out of the Incredibles until the sequel started off exactly where the last one ended. Initially it seems kinda cool as if they're trying to keep the continuity between the two consistent and build up what the last movie established but it does so poorly, it rehashes the villain and retreads old ground with added Jack-Jack funny moments. I was actually relieved they weren't doing the "cast ages with the audience" here because it's always hit or miss with movies, especially with the gap between the two movies. I honestly expected it to take place maybe a year or a few more months from the last movie, I think ideally it should be a few years for the third. The best scene out of the whole movie was the cut funeral for Gazerbeam, it gives Bob something other than comic relief.
