More studios closed down as a result.-As a result, Publishers began forcing more microtransactions and DLC shit.-Games shipped broken and needed "day one patches"-Fewer and fewer quirky games. Instead we got more shooters and "cinematic" experiences thrown at us.-Consoles are just glorified PCs. No more hyper custom chips that made each system unique. So I slowly gave up. However, there are tons of great games from the last 2 decades so I'll never get bored.

I only casually cared about them as a kid but by the time i was a teen i was annoyed as pissed by them cuz every other person my age ONLY wanted to talk about playing games and not about cartoons or movies or anything else. I hate how the video games have overshadowed and supplanted every other form of entertainment to millennials and zoomers. When the medium stayed in its own lane and was just one out of many mediums of media it was tolerable but now all i feel is resentment and hatred towards video games.
