Is this guy simultaneously the most retarded and most based Batman villain of all time?Literally just a giant rich retard who thinks he's Zeus cuz he got bumped on the head or something and his giant 1000 foot skyscraper is done up like a Greek temple. Who are some other villains like this guy who are like Z lister but still kino?
>>152322226Did Diana ever acknowledged him?
I thought he was an original carácter from the batman (2004)
>>152322226He’s a knockoff of King Tut from the Batman 1960s TV show. That show was produced by Fox so DC didn’t have the rights to the original villains created for the show, King Tut was the only really good one (Egghead fans will not eggree) so DC came up with something similar.
King Tut from the 60's Batman show.
>>152322552King Tut was hardly what you'd call a good villain, he was just immaculately portrayed. and kind of funny since he was immediately forgiven every time because he gets hit on the head again and gets his marbles back.Maxie Zeus is their attempt at addressing anyone's concerns that this new show isn't like what they remember Batman to be enough. They're like, can we have an insane villain who thinks he's some kind of themed history guy? Sure. What would that look like? Well, his minions are a little worried but they do what they're paid to.. his close companions are more worried, and think he needs to seek mental help, even if they're okay with the crime shit. and Batman takes him out without showing TOO much sympathy for insanity, but still making it clear he pities the guy and wants him to get help. This Batman has heart, but the show has brains, and edge.
>Maximilian Zeus, a slightly built, almost mild man, was a history teacher and a married man. Through unrevealed circumstances he lost his wife and his sanity. Completely delusional, Maxie Zeus believes he is the reincarnation of the Greek god Zeus himself. He became a crime lord, and uses his cunning and intelligence to rise to power amidst the chaos in Gotham City's underworld caused by the city's numerous insane criminals. This is from the comics. They couldn't even remember to give his nigga an origin. Even in BTAS he just went crazy from a string of vague bad business.
>>152322226I really like his design in The Batman
>>152322955Top-tier redesign.
THEN ALONG CAME ZEUSHE HURLED
>>152322552From what Chuck Dixon said, the name "Maxie Zeus" was namedropped as a Gotham crime lord, and readers asked who that was and so Dennis O'Neil felt obliged to make him an actual character. I cn't find any mention of Maxie Zeus' name before his debut though, so it could be Dixon misremembering the story; O'Neil used it as an example of expecting readers to want elaboration on any sort of worldbuilding
>>152322226He was kino in Serious House on Serious Earth.
Are we sure he wasn't a reincarnation of zeus? How does a businessman get that jacked?
>>152323181wasn't he building a mound of his own shit like Mount Olympus
>>152322226>surname is Zeus>thinks he’s literally ZeusGood thing his name wasn’t Max Sterculius.
>>152323207It's easy as hell if you have access to a personal trainer and lots of time you can work into your schedule.
>>152322226The only comic story I seen him was where Onomatopoeia pushed his shit in
>>152322226He eats his own shit
>>152323207Probably on tren.
>>152322226>>152322552I know he has a female assistant, but I never made the connection that he was a Batman 66 type character.
>>152322625The King Tut comic book they did was good. The one where Batman and the Riddler team up against him.Not good good, but good.
>>152323207>Okay I'm just going to throw this out there, what if it IS Zeus? The actual god Zeus, all pissed off that nobody cares about Zeus anymore?
>>152322226>Who are some other villains like this guy who are like Z listerDoctor Stratos, a Superman villain from the early Post-Crisis days who pretty much followed the same M.O.: normal guy with delusions of godhood who lived in a fancy island castle and whose power over weather was actually achieved with a satellite weapon>[...]but still kino?...eh
>>152323846looks cool at least
>>152323864His shtick is fun, but he only showed up in one issue
>>152323690Based.

>>152322226>Who are some other villains like this guy who are like Z lister but still kino? How could you forget Snowflame?
