Ended up binging the whole thing today, comfy little bromance. Given how late the entry into the MCU is I have to wonder if anything further is planned for Simon. The anti-meta sentiment (and forced optics of necessity to keep funding) is a neat possible angle for future Mutie hate. I will say a hanging sword for the show is how we sorta have to ignore Simon as being destructive when he gets emotional; surely his powers have to be some concern, happy as we can be for him. For now that I can swallow that pill for a nice little (honestly super-light) show. Plus it lets me dream of a world without Josh Gad. I wonder if the MCU canonically never got a Frozen 2.

If Sadie Sink is indeed playing a mutant in BND, that plot thread will most certainly continue there since the DoDC is in that film.

Wasn't their original role just cleanup for post-avengers shit? Why are they basically meta lockup now? I don't even know what their prison was.

>Wasn't their original role just cleanup for post-avengers shit?
Yeah, but as far as I know they've slowly morphed into a proto Friends of Humanity since Ms. Marvel (not coincidentally the first MCU project to feature a mutant).

>Why are they basically meta lockup now
Because they're moving towards putting Mutants in the MCU, you retarded fucking tar baby.
>>
>>152323084
I knew I recognized them, I was thinking it was Far From Home.
>>152323203
They could easily create a Mutant Response Team when they add mutants, don't be obtuse.

>they could easily asspull hurr durr durr i'm wetahded durr
shut the fuck up, bitch, they're building up to stuff and you're bitching about something in a tv show you haven't even watched. act your age, your parents are begging you.
>>
>>152323293
You're taking this remarkably personally, I wasn't even bitching, I genuinely wondered why they got a bump in responsibilities, a potential comic nod or something. And if you're gonna tell people to act their age maybe don't quote me the way a middle schooler would.

I don't remember all the details, but the government never truly repealed the Sokovia Accords, so they they morphed Damage Control to handle supers who they expect are dangerous to prevent the "damage". With the recent rapid increase of supers, they've become more aggressive about it.

The Sokovia Accords were repealed according to Matt in She-Hulk, but the amount of supers popping up especially post-Endgame is probably starting to shift the public's perception from being celebratory of their existence to fearing them.

We see this in the Doorman episode, Hollywood initially embraced Demarr and gave him many work opportunities simply because of his abilities but after the incident, supes were now a big no-no in the industry.

I hate marvel so fucking much. I watched this expecting to be a disgrace just like Ironheart and yet they made a pretty decent series with a character nobody gives a fuck about and some remnant from 12 years ago. Fuck marvel

this. i cannot believe of all things, it was fucking Wonder Man who ended up getting something decent from Marvel. not Moon Knight. not Secret Invasion. fucking Wonder Man.
>>
it was a surprisingly cozy show. I only vaguely know about Wonderman through /co/smosis; that he's important somehow, has to do with Vision, has a freak brother. I still wanted to see what the fuss would be here, and was pleasantly surprised. Just about my only complaint would be the all but studio mandatory forced third act conflict between our heroes. Why couldn't Trevor just stack another lie onto the pile, especially to a stranger? He already told DDC that they had nothing on him and he was released, he could tell her that worked. When he confessed to Simon, he easily could've made it clear that his instant view of worth in him made him not ever actually go through with handing stuff over, could say he was going to get his last big break and then turn himself in or go on the run, anything really.
>>
>>152323523
Eh, depending on how exactly they dole it out, I can understand. Wonderman was practically a standalone, so many threads could've been cut from it (not all of course). Secret Wars seems easy to fuck up, Moon Knight at least had some good to it.
>>

I think Trevor's emotions got the better of him. Sure, he could've kept lying, but he had already collected an enormous amount of guilt so he just wanted to get clear and be honest with Simon once and for all.
>>
Why didn't the DODC put Bullseye in one of their maximum security prisons?
>>
Suspension of disbelief and all, I'm not trying to go Cinemasins here, more a comical nitpick. If I saw Trevor in real life I wouldn't place him as The Mandarin whatsoever. For one it's been years, for another the beard, sunglasses, and Terrorist Voice so a lot to differentiate and obscure the real him. I do get the narrative importance of it coming up so often though.
