Was it the most based event of the 90s? It was basically a Spider-Man slasher flick. Seeing Peter have a moral crisis while being on the edge of a nervous breakdown throughout while you had other characters like Venom and Deathlok just wanting to murder Cassidy was ULTRA BASED. And that is not even mentioning all the tie in merch, the trading cards, video games etc.

We will never have an event like this again.

not to mention spider man's power were sapped throughout the story due to having broken ribs

It's kind of shit

Explain

A lot of the comic is just
>Carnage and Co. wreck things
>Spider-Man and Co. show up to stop him
>They don't
>Repeat
Carnage's "family" was pretty shit too outside of Shriek

It was basically 14 chapters for a story that could carry maybe 6. Characters show up just to show up and pad the roster so much I'd almost swear this was intended to be a toy line. Especially given the video game.

>NOOOO YOU CANT HAVE AN EXPANSIVE ACTION PACKED CROSS OVER EVENT WITH LOTS OF CHARACTERS
Sneed

Even Marvel themselves didn't like it. Internally they referred to it as Maximum Garbage
>>
>>152325797
No. You shouldn't. Especially when it means most characters don't actually do anything.
>Sneed
You're a fucking sped.

really weird. people got inspired to become violent because of carnage.

almost as if that's not what those two anons were talking about, there was obvious padding and decompression throughout the event. it's no different from Bendis writing Age of Ultron and immediately trying to do an MCU adaptation (which ended up only using the title, but I digress)
