Is this show worth going back to watch as an adult?
No

Hot Take: If you are keeping up with DC there's almost never a reason to go read pre-crises shit. Or any early 2000's stuff. Same with a lot of Marvel stuff. Not all but most. Someone like Spider-Man went years being married to Mary Jane and there wasn't a Miles or ressurected Gwen. The fact he was alone and Gwen died were part of his character arc. Now these days Miles and Gwenpool are in fucking everything and there's enough Spider-People to form a Power Rangers team. Same with Superman and Batman. Watch Justice League. At this point neither of them have sons. Batman is semi in love with Catwoman and Superman is with Lois and his best pal is Jimmy Olsen and no one knows he's Clark Kent. These days its all been flipped. Everyone always complains about Status Quo but really observe where we are compared to what it was and there's nothing alike.
>>152326589Yes. Growing up, this was no less than the most badass shit ever. Rewatching and looking back on it now, it's bewildering how much it holds up.
>>152326589Watch the Superman animated series first, it sets up a bunch of shit that becomes relevant in JLU and is also just a really damn good show.
>>152326847Proffessor X?
>>152326589I still remember the episode where they had Luther and The Flash switch minds because they wanted Flash's voice actor to take a crack at being menacing, but Luther's voice actor stole the show being a goofball. That's not restful
>>152326847>there's almost never a reason to go read pre-crises shitYeah no, fuck off, Pre-Crisis is what made DC so iconic in the first place, there's a reason DC keeps bringing stuff from it back into the present, because that's the purest version of their characters that has ever existed.Post-Crisis Superman for example is fundamentally different from Pre-Crisis, and that's why they got rid of most of that shit as soon as they had the chance.
>>152327810Pre-Crisis is just a bunch of forgettable kiddie slop only good for a laugh.
>>152326589Yeah. It's absolute kino from back when "children" and "retarded" didn't mean the same thing. The Booster Gold episode is still one of my favorite episodes of any TV show.
>>152326589Yes.
>>152328081Watching JL/JLU as a kid you were so regularly edge-of-your-seat. And getting introduced to characters like GL and Manhunter for the first time and being like 'Oh shit who's this guy, he's fucking cool as fuck, what can he do?'. It was a magical experience. Man, you really just had to be there.

Yes, but if you're downloading it expect a small war trying to get the metadata right. There's constant arguments on if Unlimited is a new series or just a continuation.Pic related.
Yeah, all the DCAU shows are perfectly fine to watch for the most part because they tried to write for a general audience in a kid-friendly way. There are a handful of episodes that lean a bit too much on the kid-side. The edgier PG-13 DTVs are a lot more hit and miss.>>152327790It was a meta-joke because Flash's voice actor also played Lex in Smallville.>>152327867This describes the silver age, definitely not the bronze age.
