Is there a reason why all adult cartoons look identical now?
>>

This looks like Chicago Party Aunt.

Studio execs want simple animation so the writing is what is focused on. I know you'll say "what writing?" and my answer to that is, Idk.
>>
>>152338790
Because that look is easy and cheap to churn out.

Rick and Morty took off, and people at the top who have never animated in their life assume that digital puppets are easier to work with than hand drawn, and nobody ever complains because all of the work is done on the other side of the world after like 3 degrees of outsourcing.

it's a blueprint to copy and reproduce the same shit over and over like beanmouth slop
>>

Showrunners don't know what people want and go with whatever's cheapest or more popular.
>>
It all started with Family Guy
>>
>>152339027
But Family Guy is just a ripoff of The Simpsons with some of the raunchy humor of South Park (which is also ugly, just a different kind of ugly).

Why did Amazon get some nobodies to write for their most expensive show?
People talk about Justin being fired from Rick and Morty like they aren't all the same.

That was one of those shows that came out of nowhere, and acted like I should know what it was. It was a kind of odd show. Not horrible though. There's one specific jokes about the Super Bowl Shuffle that I find very funny and still think of.
But, it was a weird show.

NTA, but it's the mom from Chicago Party Aunt. Some other guy mentioned it in the second post. And I was talking about it with him. I'm not sure I've ever seen it mentioned here.
It's on Netflix. It is very much and "Okay"

I think a kind of big thing is a lot of these shows are done by Titmouse.

This. Titmouse is staffed with tons of skilled artists who are very good at delivering mediocrity. I'll still take them over Bento Box any day, though.

I quite liked Saturday Morning All Star Hits. Never seen it mentioned here, but the animated portions were Bento Box, though it also was more visually distinct.

Is cheap

I'll be the first to say Chicago Party Aunt was more enjoyable than I thought it'd be. Wouldn't have minded an additional season, but I can live with the 16 eps we got.

Economics has created the cheapest style possible with current technology. Everything will be animated like this until there's another breakthrough and then it will look worse
