He is at best a very underpowered, weak Martian....whom Clark also takes on in large numbers. Handling groups of White Martians is a long past time for Superman, and a very low powered one with pathetic level hypnotism powers is not going to give much of a challenge. You want to make a challenge for Superman you start with Galactus. Anything less is nothing but a speedbump.
