What are the worst /co/ reimaginings?
>>152351792I liked that joker actually
Top was just adapting the Ultimate Spider-man comic. Blame Bendis.
>>152351803You think I don't know that, moron
>>152351792I think the batman's joker was actually a really fun concept and redesign. It still felt like the Joker even if he was doing monkey kung fu.
>>152351792That version of Joker was pretty cool, actually.
>>152351792A lot of people tend to like Jamaican Joker.
>>152351792Young Justice Joker is the worst Joker, The Batman's take was at least trying to do new things.
>>152351792Nothing was wrong with that Joker and most warmed up to him after getting over it's not Mark Hamill. Top one? Yeah not Hulk Goblin has always been an awful idea in more ways that one.
>>152351803Still awful Makes sense thematically as he was experimenting with the super soldier serum as well but still
>>152351892>Young Justice JokerThat still feels like a fever dream for how uncannily off and boring that one was. It was like someone just took one of the main leads from the Supernatural show and put him in clown makeup.
>>152351907Brent Spiner felt wasted in the role, I blame Weisman.
>>152351792I don't see an issue with either of them, OP. The former's just the best compromise between the Ultimate version of Gobby and the real one from 616. And I liked the bottom one as a grungier reimagining of The Joker as we know him. And frankly, between all the people he drove insane and the fact that he actually put Batman on the backfoot physically several times, he was never completely ineffective.
>>152351792E;R is right about male Mary Sues (I know what is a Gary Sue) being more "likable" but I hate both types equally.
>>152351792With that Joker they obviously figured they shouldn't try to just redo or try to emulate the BTAS depiction and wanted to do something very different to distance themselves and do their own thing. And you gotta admit, making him Caribbean was a bold choice and very much their own thing.
>>152351992Ultimate Gobby still sucks conceptually whether it be the comics or an adaption, The Batman Joker was good though
>>152351792>What are the worst /co/ reimaginings?
>>152351992I never liked how he was barefoot.
>>152352522>/Thread
>>152352051Isaac was actually a decent character, and held some of the show's best interactions.Amber however...
>>152352051Motherfuckers who call any competent female character a mary sue are the same ones who go on to praise the worst isekai with the blandest overpowered male protagonist as the height of fiction.
>>152352556This scene kinda reeked of uninformed anticlerical historical revisionism
>>152352597The whole show was anti-church gaythiest wank. But I still enjoyed some of its characters (up to the third season, will not watch whatever irredeemable slop came after)
>>152352615I only watched the first season and while the animation was decent and the premise ok, the whole thing did seem like an r/ atheism wetdream which funnily enough is mostly informed by anticatholic late 19th century evangelical tropes.
>>152352522I'll always think of that one review where the person described how Loonatics is what the industry really wants: Another success but faster and cheaper.
>>152352522>>152352769Imagine how autistic someone would have to be to earnestly be way into this.
>>152351792Joker being some acrobat monkey monster was pretty good actually, especially since his personality was still Jokerish.
>>152351907Young Justice seems to have a habit of poorly adapting popular big-name characters while focusing and better adapting lesser-known characters. Some guys like Grayson and Lex are done pretty well. But then you get to guys like Joker or Riddler and they're pretty lame. And obviously, characters like Sportsmaster and Mongul were done really well. I'd even argue Black Manta falls under this - even if he's well known now and Aquaman's greatest enemy, at the time of seasons 1 and 2, he was kinda just a "filler" villain in media who showed up to fill space. Young Justice was the first to really delve into him.
>>152351792Kevin Michael Richardson had a 10/10 Joker voice. But this version couldn't work outside of the 2000s.>>152352522This would have worked as a standalone show with original characters. Danger Duck was kino
>>152352522>>152352769>>152352801I liked it. No caveats, no buts, no "um actually", no cap. It was visually fun with all the colour coded powers, the original Loony Tunes these characters are based on made a great jumping off point for the new heroes, and there was still just enough humour to give it character between the action scenes.
>>152351792Goblin/Troll Joker was good>>152351800this
>>152351800This.He grows on your pretty quickly, especially when you realize everyone in The Batman universe is like that. The episode where he dresses up like Batman going around attacking people for petty crimes solidified him as a good Joker iteration.
The worst part is it was technically canonically the same character as the Megabyte from the original Reboot.
>>152351792I'm not sure what was wrong with Baxter Stockman's intern turned antique shop clerk in the first place, all I know is that making her a human-alien hybrid with psychic powers and a physics defying fan weapon is going too far.
>>152351792>that jokerBaitWayyyy better than Jared leto tekashi69 joker
>>152352522Fuck everyone I liked this show.Id watch another season.
>>152351800I preferred his first design. The straight jacket was a clever twist to his design. Not as a permanent design change but made him unique to this iteration.
>>152351792That Joker was fun though
>>152351800The problem was the backlash because it was too soon after BTAS, and it aired while Justice league was on. If the Batman came out after BTBATB would’ve been a much smaller minority of people who hated this jokers design.
>>152351792I like this Green Goblin. Norman being the main villain whose goal is to create an army of spider-soldiers is cool. The worst /co/ reimagining of all time is MCU Spider-Man.
