How many times has The Simpsons *almost* ended?

And what'll be the disaster that finally makes it happen FOR REAL
>>
>>152351852
this soulless money laundering scheme will NEVER ever ever ever end
>>
A main voice actor will die and it will "end" for a year or two, and then they'll reboot it with an entirely new voice cast and make it bean-mouth.
>>

Its going to outlive Groening at this point

>entirely new voice
what is AI?
you brainlet

The real show's finale is going to happen when they release the episode when Homer Simpson creampies his own butthole.

This, except for the bean mouth thing.

I've been using a random number generator to pick random episodes of the Simpsons to watch with my wife and kid for a while now. The "zombie" seasons haven't bothered me up until these last few specifically because
• not everyone needs to be paired up/coupled with someone and I really don't like that they're doing this; same reason I have a love/hate feeling towards the US version of Ghosts
• I don't care about the nobody characters and their backstories. The mayor's dad's immigration story is stupid. I don't care that Ralph's mother has a past. Moe's own backstory has been changed so many times that I'm tired of keeping track. Stop that.
• Ending Apu's run was one of the dumbest decisions ever. They could have kept him going with even my shitty writing skills: have his Aziz Ansari-voiced nephew come back for another episode and have a short throwaway gag where he says some shit like "eyy yo, unc, why do you do that accent when you're around the wypipo? It's embarrassing!" and have Apu reply in a Minnesota hausfrau accent that white people are stupid and expect that shit donchaknow. Think Bobby's mom from Bobby's World, except a dude. That would put the joke onto the whites rather than the Indians. You can even make it a moralistic episode where Aziz's character loses his shit over it a la Lisa and everyone learns a lesson that accents are nothing to be ashamed of and Jews did 9/11.
And that's another thing
• moralistic episodes were never subtle but Jesus fucking Christ, they talk directly at the audience now. I forgot the episode but there was one from last year where Mr Burns and others talk to the fourth wall about how capitalism is bad because billionaires don't pay taxes. It was the most cringe-y shit ever and I have never described anything as "cringe" before but there's no other word for it.

That was two seasons ago. Michael J Fox was the guest star.
>>
Disney will make all the main VAs give them the AI rights to their voices like they did with James Earl Jones.

Okay first of all why are you using bullet points rather than >? That aside.
>• not everyone needs to be paired up/coupled with someone and I really don't like that they're doing this; same reason I have a love/hate feeling towards the US version of Ghosts
Honestly this is just a modern trend for writers to 'ship' characters, partly because they know it drives engagement, partly because more writers are females who care about that stuff.
