>>152408789I meant to add to this. Barring some changes in proportions, this is pretty much the underlying construction for Buster, Babs, Shirley, Fifi, Plucky, and Hampton. You’ll draw a horizontal line around the head shape to set the angle the character’s looking, but then that’s another line that’s like a mask that helps to properly set the angle for the bottom of the eyes to rest on, which also establishes the line their cheeks follow. The body’s a potato sack, and the arms and legs are slightly tapered tubes.

And I barely scratch the cut off mark here for living through those times and being sentient enough to catch things as a wee one. I catch more stuff with these shows now that Im older, but it also helps that I am more into old media anyway. Anyone younger than me isn't going to understand the references at all, not unless their hobby was researching 1980s and 90s pop culture. These shows are a time capsule. It's both a bad but good thing, imo.

I forget the timeline of events but my aunt was supposed to have "x" done by a certain time regarding her treatments and it was put off for months when it should not have been. Communication error at the hospital. So who knows if she'd still be around now or if she was doomed forever. I know hospital workers are only human, but sometimes it feels people don't care until it hits too close to home for their own.
