Infernal Hulk comic series set to conclude after 10 issues, with a collected edition releasing in late 2026Phillip Kennedy Johnson continues as writer, hinting at a new Hulk in line with Mark Ruffalo's movie portrayalThe storyline promises cosmic horror as Infernal Hulk battles heroes and even confronts the One Above AllUpcoming issues feature dramatic showdowns, the debut of Hellbuster Armor, and the fate of Bruce BannerI guess this is probably a planned conclusion rather than a cancellation due to low sales, but anyway, a listing has just popped up for a non-volume numbered Infernal Hulk collection. No content listing yet, but the page count, 232, indicates it will collect 10 issues. And it's this kind of behaviour that usually indicates a cancelled Marvel title. However, Phillip Kennedy Johnson, having signed an exclusive contract with Marvel Comics, has previously said that Infernal Hulk is the second part of his three-part Hulk story. And might it also suggest there will be something more in keeping with the portrayal of The Hulk that we will see in the Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie, as played by Mark Ruffalo, rather than this raging hellbeast?

>>152462336Bendis is back and the Avengers line is getting relaunched in his image, it's literally comic's worst kept secret.Armageddon will wipe the table clean and all new #1's out around Avengers Doomsday
>>152462336Too bad. Just getting to Infernal Hulk was quite a ride. Whatever's next for the character, I hope the horror angle sticks. It's worked out phenomenally well.
>Marvel cancelling a run at #10 so they can relaunch a new #1 to generate fake hype and sell to buckbroken collectorsOh no, that has NEVER happened before!
>>152462474Marvel rebooting everything to satisfy this bald fag to Beat DC and Image-Skybound is going to backfire badly as it did in the 90's
>>152462500this was announced last year I believe. it's a 3-part series thing
>>152462474>Bendis is back and the Avengers line is getting relaunched in his imageGood, Marvel deserves Bendis
>>152462474>Bendis is back and the Avengers line is getting relaunched in his image.>Armageddon will wipe the table clean and all new #1's out around Avengers Doomsday. This is an awful sinchronicity.
>>152462336Yeah it's gonna relaunch as Incredible I imagineThe only thing unexpected is that it's getting ten
>>152462336>a new Hulk in line with Mark Ruffalo's movie portrayalIt’s been a while since such horrifying words have been spoken
>>152462474>Bendis is back and avengers is getting relaunched in his imagePlease kill me.
>>152462817Not before I kill myself.
>>152462474SYNERGY DOESN'T WORK
>>152462474source you faggot
>>152462474>Bendis is back and the Avengers line is getting relaunched in his imageSo are we heading into Dark Reign 2 or what?
>>152462887Gonna be a dark reign alright.
>>152462828>>152462817Just kill him, it seems simpler. I genuinely don’t know how marvel is taking him back, he was already a faded “star” when DC took him off of their hands and all he did THERE was destroy all of the good will that DC had built up over rebirth. I don’t see why marvel isn’t just getting new talent and letting McKay and others do their thing, nothing there is perfect but bendis really has nothing to add anymore. Honestly Jones would be a better grab for marvel than Bendis, at least he’s a team player
>>152462336>hinting at a new Hulk in line with Mark Ruffalo's movie portrayal>>152462336>Bendis is backwell I guess Marvel really doesn't want me to buy any of their comics. probably for the best anyway, i used to get like 40 books a month but I've been down to 2 for awhile now and I dont even read em, i just pick em up once a month and throw em in the box when i get home. least i'll save a couple more bucks a month
Anyone else hate how pathetic and amoral they make Bruce anymore? The only reason he became the Hulk was because he was saving Rick from the blast.
>>152463880That’s just Marvel at this point. Doesn’t seem like they even know how to write decent morals anymore
>>152463880He was always portrayed as kind of pathetic and down on his luck when not running around as HulkBetty was cheating on him like a week after their marriage
>>152464205Bruce and Betty have both hooked up with other people in the time they've been married. Bruce has done it a lot more. Point is they've always stuck despite sometimes drifting apart and making each other miserable a lot of the time.
so is beast gonna get changed again?
>>152464678This is the thing that taught me that Bendis desperately hates Morrison
>>152462474GOOD, LET IT BURN
>>152462883He's making it up. Bendis isn't doing shit for Marvel in the long-term without an exclusive contract and he's not worth that anymore.
>>152462474I hate that this is likely because of lower than liked sales, yet instead of the people causing the contention reflecting on the horseshit they've been smearing around the simplest pseudo-suggestion to get back in the red is synergy with what's imagined to be a blockbuster. It's particularly weird because I heard a rumor that they're making Ruffalo's hulk more like Savage Hulk for the Spidey and Punisher thing to simplify him after all the Avengers movies floundered things, so really it just goes to show how the carriage is being put in front of the horse.Shit.
>>152462336Okay.
>>152462336man fuck this fucking company
>>152462336Tragic.Despite its ups and downs Hulk being reimagined as a horror character has been a remarkably cool experiment. That is what sucks about comics. Any time an interesting angle sticks the landing and shakes thing up for the better the status quo always swoops in to erase it.>>152462474>Bendis is comingI have genuinely never hated a creative more in my entire life than this man.
>>152464678Hickman can talk shit to Bendis like that? Based.
>>152464678>Hinting that the next Hulk will be more like Mark Ruffalo's portrayal of it in Spider-Man 4Oh boy, I can't wait for the new hulk to run around and say "Nah" every time he sees a woman.
PKJ literally said that it isn't ending anytime soon and he was replying to someone who reposted that article.
>>152464158Morals are for the weak. We're in a beautiful new world of hatred and cruelty.
>>152462336I don't think it's a cancellation, just a rebranding. "Infernal" Hulk refers to the creature that took over Hulk's body and is currently awakening monsters all over the world. Presumably, in issue 10 Bruce will get off his ass and defeat him, and the title will continue under another name.
>>152462336Damn,that's a shame.I do hope the pending issues are good enough while part 3 comes tho
