She's member of a tribe of giant slayers that use technologically enhanced styluses(like the long teacher pointing stick) to make these giants fall down. The stylus can alter the center of gravity of things it pokes, but it requires very precise tuning and aiming. Practitioners have to learn to perform incredibly complex quadratic equations, based on observations of the giant's height/weight, in their head, very quickly, and while also dodging the giant's attacks. Then it's like, the giant does a big huge swing with a giant club, and right as it's coming down on her she taps it with her stick at an awkward angle, and this makes the whole club twist, wrench the giant's elbow, makes its knees buckle and the whole thing trip over its own feet. The giants can't stand back up after falling, and essentially die from it.They can do other things with their stylus like she could twist it on the floor, cause a chain reaction in small pieces of debris and cause normal sized people to lose their footing. Or, she could pike a piece of furniture and cause to to roll and tumble around the room in crazy rotations.When two high level practitioners fight each other, I imagine it animated showing either of them standing up, but the background is constantly spinning, because both of them, and all of the things in the room would by flying around, smashing them, causing chain reactions of shrapnel and collisions to inflict damage.

I've had a half-baked idea for years for a magical girl series where the girls' powers are all based on the elements of the Periodic Table and they're tied to the decayed remnants of the Industrial Revolution and the global mining/resource extraction industry.Like, the Titanium girl, who's our main character, is from Dearborn, Michigan and she's superhumanly strong and durable and can shoot beams out of her hands. The Iron girl is from Liverpool and she's also strong and durable, and she can control magnetism. The Copper girl is from the Congo and she can control electromagnetism. The Hydrogen girl is from Australia and she can fly and also control fire. So on and so forth.They all get rounded up by a shadowy agency to fight a villain named Mr. Chrome who's bent on global domination, but of course things aren't what they seem and there's conspiracies and betrayals that unfold. The story was actually going to be a little bit about the triumph of idealism over cynicism, with the girls, especially my MC, going from really jaded and cynical to actually buying in to the classic magical girl ideas of harmony, peace, justice, and goodness, it starting as an act when they're in costume but gradually blossoming in their hearts.I've bounced back and forth about what to do with it. Once I thought it might be a book or a novel series. Then I thought about making it an animated series and I worked on a series bible for it. Maybe it could be a comic, but I can't draw, so I'm stuck on that front.

She meets the Owl Lady on a flaming chickenwalking Owl House, who almost agrees to take her on board, but an incendiary bomb explodes the ship and Luz wakes up in Latissa in a Egg-shaped Escape vehicle. The Owl Lady is laying low playing dead, and in her stead her assistant, a Collector called Prince, and the ever-present Hooty, watches over Luz who secretly starts selling stuff in the Owl House in a little shop. She makes friends with some local students of Hexside (this is a time where Bump never led him to take the school near Bonesborough over) where their principal is Scooter Crane, and while she makes due with some quickly altered tools using some sort of glyph magic, she is eventually convinced by Prince to try HIS magic, which involves tatooing specifics points along Luz's innate lines of bodily flow to stimulate specific magical spells. Unlike in our timeline, this means Luz can cast magic with the spin the circle/tap the finger style, but she's limited to a select few spells as she only has so many points on her body. She tries using it to make a spell that allows her to remember other spells cast by a training wand, but she's holding Owlbert while doing it so every spell he's ever cast pours into her head and gives her a sort of Shadow form that wins her fight but gets her arrested.I've got more but I'm probably getting deleted for some based stuff I typed in other threads so I'll post in chunks.

Also outside of school there's a cat and shellfish head crew of fishermen she works with, as well as a young boy with human ears like her who only remembers being in the Demon Realm, and you as the audience are supposed to notice he looks like Phillip Wittebane but it's a chekov's gun so nothing's made of it yet. He's got a picture of two witches holding him as a baby and he assumes they're his parents, despite his human ears.Also, Luz is drawn to this sports team that plays for Hexside in a Dodgeball/Hot Potato style game called Dodgebomb where balls have to be constantly moving or they count down and explode. The teams normally need six players, but an elite crew of four girls run the school team and take them to the championship, and Luz is infatuated with the magical girl with a monkey palisman and keytaur tech staff that turns into a horsebike. (ignore the witch ears I hadn't decided they'd be human looking when i drew it at this point) Bummed about losing Booker, she goes home and finds the Owl Lady's back.Pressure of keeping her secrets and losing her friends eventually gets her in a fight that gets her outright expelled so she has to fully employ with the cat boss to keep using magic, and tries to reinstate her enrollment by winning a Palisman Race with Hooty and her tech staff, and unlike in Eda's Requiem, she wins, but unlike in Eda's Requiem, that means whatever spell the Owl Lady was casting succeeds and she's dragged to a horrible black void spell that freezes only when a long raven haired witch in a white robe on the other side of the clearing fuses with it and stops the spell. Then Luz is exposed as working with the Owl Lady and taken to the Conformatorium.

They help each other break out, just as the Prophet's Castle is coming to visit. Meanwhile Booker (again, ignore the ears) has followed Pudding to a facility on the isles where he finds clones of himself, and learns his picture is just a part of a larger batch. Someone's growing versions of him for someone, and he just got lost because of (haven't fleshed this part out). He didn't have the tell-tale witch ears because whatever Grimwalker style magic process they use to make Booker, they're better at replicating the original material, so he's flying back to the Castle too for answers. Luz gets in, is delayed in a big Palistrom Forest by the REAL Big Bad of the story, a creature of diamonds and Stanchions that I still can't draw called Abramelane, who's got a Demiurge Palisman that hunts in 4D, and Luz barely escapes to make it to a portal room where she meets Booker again, but the Titanson arrives and Shout booms open the portal to whisk Luz Booker and it across the warpstream. We don't see what happens to the Titanson but Luz wakes up in what is revealed to be The Bronx on a cloudy day. She walks home to a bungalow in Clason Point, 428 Pierrot Avenue (the 8 is wobbly and Luz used to turn the number to make it look like an owl face) and she walks in to reunite with her parental guardian; Manuel Segura, her still alive father.

Turns out that spell of mass shifting is attuned to the expectation of celestial bodies in the Demon Realm being like the ones in the Human Realm, and they're not, because as she escapes back to the park she was dropped off in and whisked away by a Belos looking dude, we pan up from Manuel screaming at a now portalless door frame in the park, to see this Earth has FOUR Moons of different colors in an improbable celestial alignment in the sky. (I'd hint to this a few times in the story, Luz asking Prince 'THE moon' a playing of Instant Karma on a radio saying 'We all shine on, like the MOONS, and the Stars, and the Sun'). Point is, last scene of this story, Booker wakes up in a decript graveyard in the woods, and flies away from what SHOULD be Gravesfield, but is an abandoned village in Connecticut woods. END OF BOOK 1

>>152472912So Book 2 we get followups of Luz's Hexside friends, Kappa's gone abroad home to a continent called Yomi, Sasquatch makes friends with a seemingly more confident twiggy girl who's turning around her reptuation in school suddenly, the Dodgebomb crew is invited to play internationally in Yomi and Tenochitlan and elsewhere, as long as they have a full team, represented by the Prophet's Golden and Silver Guards, and finally we get in touch with Luz, who's now under the care of the Imperial Prophet Mardook, who wears a plague doctor appearance, and is the centuries old spiritual leader of the Tetrachial Empire (we don't have time to get into Empire Politics, but an Elite Four themed to the Titan elements run things, and Mardook is their spiritual advisor than actual power. He explains some of the Titanic Christian stuff toyed with in the first book, and explains Luz's magical awakening is part of an ancient race called Collectors. She relents Luz to be imprisoned in his castle, where she reunites with Prince who takes her through a pocket portal to a tower in the Human Realm where after dodging light beams gets her elements realigned, and finds a second Collector, trapped in a disk like how OUR Collector was. Prince reveals what he remembers about Collectors and explains their civilization to the two, (he'd been pretending to be a Prince of the Shadows before), and Luz makes him promise no more secrets (but he crosses his fingers behind his back). Also I forgot to set it up but Luz had a little portal pocket mirror she used to speak with Booker wihle in school and when the Titanson warped them it was desynced, but that jaunt resynced across time with itself to a student from the past; Edalyn Clawthorne, student at Hexside. Instead of exploring Edalyn's life as Luz's caretaker, THIS story explores their dynamics as same-aged friends across time. Luz doesn't know THIS is the Owl Lady, and Edalyn at this time wouldn't know who Luz would become to her.

The conceit is that it was an ongoing strip with a story but you'd only see random stuff from it with long gaps based on the idea that these were the only ones that the person/people putting it together could find. But I'd also fill it with exercepts from fake interviews, articles, blog posts by the creator, etc.Basically it'd be partially based on how, when I was younger, there'd be comic strips like Foob or Funky that I might read but also miss large chunks of time so it's left up to the reader to try and piece together what the story is or could be. But I also think part of the fun is following (and critiquing) the actual creator themselves, like you might see in the DOA or QC threads or old snark communities for comic strips. So it's part piecing togehter the story of the strip and part character study piecing together who the actual creator themselves is as a person based on what you see in the strip and all the miscellaneous excerpts.

I am actively working on some of these ideas that i mentioned in some previous recent archived threads for my portfolio as an illustrator. Although these began as future cartoon/show concepts, i want to set them as realistic creative goals as my goal to be a showrunner is impossible to me and want my stories reach the public without having to wait for too long and regardless of the format.In any case, here is a brief description of what i have in mind about my little show projects that might not become a tv show:- An antisocial girl becomes a witch in a dream world, bonding with other witches to defeat nightmare creatures and grow as a person.A simple premise elevated by surreal, dreamlike visuals that shape the emotional journey.-A teenage boy moves to a remote town inhabited by Halloween-like monsters who are in conflict and are hunted by humans.With his parents, younger sis, some monsters outside the conflict, and a few magic users, he gets drawn into the struggle.Inspired by Halloween-themed shows and Darkstalkers.- A runaway moth princess escapes her royal duties and becomes lost in a forgotten ruin. There, she encounters strange creatures while hiding by some soldiers who wants to bring her back.Inspired by Andean and Celtic folklore, and the atmosphere of Team Ico games.- Twin siblings become magitek knights defending the world from biomechanical threats, divided by duty—he resents it, she strives to excel.Has an ambitious setting and story, similar to One Piece, but is now being streamlined to be manageable. - Two mechanics restore a floating race car and enter a galaxy-spanning competition to revive their failing shop, joined by two hopeful young girls and an aspiring top model, An space-opera journey with Toriyama and Shinchiro Watanabe vibes.If i get one of these ideas to work at least, i would be more than happy, but my plan is to get their bases fully settled and done whether the former happens or not.
