>>152465158Thanks for doing this one, about Brett Bean, he did say that he wanted to do D'orc shortly before Skottie contacted him to do the IHF revival, and that helped him to get the experience and Image's trust (If his word is to be trusted, he expected Skottie to change artists before revival #5 but he strayed for the entirety of the second run), so after an entire run he decided to ask Skottie to end his role as artist in the second run to pursue his comic idea, and Skottie said yes, I am pretty sure they ended in amicable terms since IHF#50 has a Brett Bean variant cover.https://youtu.be/dkrp-C2iifA

>>152466870I like it as a fantasy world, it's straight to the point. The light and dark side do kind of come off as the alliance and the horde, but I like it's less about race and more picking a side. This really makes me feel you can create your own mid evil world.

>>152467088I think D'orc's gonna be fine since Skottie is not involved (I could see him doing a variant cover at some point), Skottie can be good with his writing but he easily falls into many traps (Wanting IHF to be about subverting everything, too many meta jokes, immediate status quo resets, over compressed comics where events that could take at least one or two issues take place in ~2 pages), and aside from illustrating the second run Brett Bean never seemed to be involved with IHF's writing.
