In my local theaters, there are still showings for the latest SpongeBob movie this weekend. I had my doubts at first, I had good memories about the first two movies (third one sucked tho), but I haven't sat down to watch a SpongeBob movie from start to finish in years, and I'm not sure if I want to go back to SpongeBob because I already considered it a stage of my life that I had already outgrown at this point, but some of the scenes I saw here and there are kinda funny, and also I had free tickets, so I don't have to pay for it, but still. I'm kinda conflicted with this one. It's worth going to see it or I'll discard it as a zoomer slop and a franchise in general that it's exclusively zoomer slop and for no one else? Only sincere answers here please, nothing of shitposting.

It's an alright film, but Plankton's movie is still the best of the nu-bob movie run. Not great but not bad either. Have some nachos or other movie slop food while watching and it will be fun enough.

didn't see the film, but I'm glad it didn't flop is box office to hard. didn't make nearly as much as the second movie but still. only zoomer slop thing about it was the ice spice feature but that's typical with most animated movies. at least it wasn't as bad at that terrible recent smurfs movie with was peak celebrity slop. constantly reminding us we should watch it because rihanna was in it. but I'm still glad search for squarepants did well though.
