I feel like this is building to some misguided moral about how trying to change the future only leads to worse outcomes, but I genuinely don't understand how he's looking at all these specific futures and not realizing that 1) he's not in any of them, and 2) that killing random people ahead of time doesn't seem to be solving the problem that one day the turtles will slip up and die.

In fact, glimpsing the future and seeing that even in old age these poor fucking guys are still out there fighting the same criminals should be a sign that their lives are fucked in a way that can't be solved by simply killing everyone who might someday kill them. This better not turn out to be some shit where trying to stop the future from happening is guaranteeing a worse fate will come for them instead.

Honestly, their tragic fate in the future was entirely of their own making. This is the problem with IDW Turtles. They could have chosen to stop fighting crime and live normal lives, maybe go to Dimension X or other places that far away from everything about Foot Clan or other villains. If they continue to live like warriors, they can't expect to live a peaceful life in the future.

But worse is they choose this kind of lifestyle, but still don't understand that constantly getting stronger and "kill or be killed" is part of this life, and if you die, the main reason is that you are weak. Not to mention they even try to save their enemy.
