I didn't like it. Amity became a way less interesting character when she dyed her hair, where she was either Luz's satellite girlfriend or wrapped up in daddy issues with her parents.
Plus she only ever used Abominations in combat during season 2 when not only do we have like 3 other characters like that, but she should be able to use all the other magics and even be explicitly trained in them by Lilith. And honestly I blame that purple hair dye job for pigeonholing her into "Purple Waterbender" when she should've been an all-around mage with brown hair to be a character I fully enjoy.
