The witches give me a similar feeling to Omega, in that they should've been introduced much earlier. These crazy bitches are fun, and I would've loved for them to be recurring antagonists throughout the comic's run.

All the regulated one had their meanings made and 'settled' long ago, so complexity is just stringing a bunch together or making offshoots. So the reason Noa's been giving herself a hernia just drawing a circle, is she's breaking all that centuries-old establish magic and putting it all into one new symbol.

That doesn't mean it can't be prudent to try to reach that demographic, but usually it comes with some baggage too. Because all of the people who are into gays are insane, they can do damage to your public image, for example, or they can be simply annoying, or in the worst cases cultivating a fandom like that can lead to problems down the line, because insane people often radicalize themselves in a sort of feedback loop. J K Rowling put a bunch of gays in Harry Potter and now she's her old fandom's arch nemesis because feminism isn't inclusive enough. And that's the least bad outcome. Other people get shot by their insane fans. Insane fans can make you a lot of money, but they do pose a real risk.
