I'm very curious about how Brombal plans to handle New Titans based on the solicits and what little he's said about the book.

He claims the team is going to be bigger than Terra, Jon, Yara, Steph and the previous roster, which sounds difficult to pull off unless Brombal is really good at juggling large casts (I don't know anything about him or his writing skills)

Solicits make it very hard to determine who's really on the team and what's actually happening.

My guess is that some of the members of the previous roster leave and the team of Jon, Terra, Yara, Steph and whoever's left from the old roster bring in new members.

Given the rapid pace of "disrupting the status quo" at Big 2 comics, its impossible for the "all star team" idea of the Justice League to exist without constant changes for more than a few months at a time.

Its almost like they'd be better off creating a "Justice League Task Force" second book where each arc is a new writer, mixing and matching teammates/adventures, that get collected in one-off trades. Basically if "JL Red" and "Cheetah & Cheshire Rob the League" were *storylines* in an anthology book.

But anthologies don't sell so...

I'm not surprised if lasted more than 12 issues since Ivy is fairly popular but I am surprised it's probably going to last 50 issues

I'm curious if the Bad Seeds event is making the book end on a high note due to GWW being done or if DC is hoping it'll pump up sales for the book to go on for another year

Garth sucks and nobody likes him and Bart is Tim's gen
And if you meant Wally, DC concedes that Wally sucks on Titans, they almost always take him off the team first whenever they do NTT reunions

I really don't get why DC keeps pushing Deathstroke as an anti-hero. Perhaps it made more sense in the early 2010s back when the character had a newfound popularity from Arrow and Arkham Origins, but these days "hey, did you know Deathstroke raped Terra?" is pretty much the first thing you learn about the character.
>>
>>152575921
They could just say Respawn's really Grant lazarus pitted but pretending to be a freak clone for reasons, then put him over as Deathstroke II.
>>
>>152575921
Deathstroke getting pushed as antihero or 'misunderstood' started with Wolfman and other writers kept doing it. A few writers didn't pretend he was an antihero or misunderstood.

Why the higher ups at DC keep trying to pretend he's an antihero is a mystery.

Did Death Metal make the original Judas Contract story as written canon again? Seems unlikely to me, most editors/writers aren't going to touch that.
>>
>>152576846
>Did Death Metal make the original Judas Contract story as written canon again?
Anon, post-Death Metal there is literally not actual canon at DC (Zdarsky said he asked his editors if Joker killing Gordon's wife was still canon and they replied "do you want it to be canon?").

But at least Layman on Titans is acting like the original Judas Contract is canon. So the answer is presumably yes.
>>
>>152576927
Yeah, it's a Quantum State. Some version of the Judas Contract may be canon in broad strokes, but not the "Slade had sex with Terra" part. After all, Terra is currently alive and the Terra in that story died.
>>
>>152577076
>After all, Terra is currently alive and the Terra in that story died
DC in New History of the DC Universe included a bit that said that some characters (like Blue Beetle, Sue Dibny or Azrael) are now alive again due to Barry Allen messing with the timeline and creating N52, but that their deaths are also STILL canon. The answer is just "don't think about it".

If Terra's bastard daughter theory is canon, it means that she was teen preg, faked her death and died later, and her daughter has the same age as damian by now.

Priest already brought back Slade and Terra fucking. He didn't show it but it was obvious with how he used Slade in conjunction with bringing in Dr Rape and having them be them chummy and creating Isherwood (who was probably named after famous teen boy lover Christopher Isherwood) who Slade had a problem with only because his son was a victim instead of some rando.
>>
>>152578511
and priest is hinted to be the one who didn't want teen preg terra because it would open the can of worms about slade being a rapist.

I don't understand why DC cancelled Condon's Green Arrow to make room for Absolute GA, but for some reason they allow the mainline Catwoman book to keep going despite the Absolute version.

I can't imagine it sells all that well either given I haven't heard literally anybody talking about the book since Tini Howard. Hornybait variants must be doing the heavy lifting.
