What do you want out of Batman, at this point?More of the same, something new, what?
Same with any superhero, good stories. And we're getting that. Batman's fun.

>>152570123Caped Crusader exists, bro.
>>152569687Cancelation.
>>152569687I just read old Batman comics from over 30 years ago when I want my fix. Don't like modern writing and I don't like modern art.
>>152569687Less super villains, more street level stuff.
>>152570123This. This is all anyone wants. Give me Bruce, Dick, and Barbara having adventures even.
>>152572339Silly anon, billionaires can't be cancelled!
>>152569687A world where Batman and Robin are allowed to stay ageless and eternal.and iconic forever that doesn't have to worry about decades of continuity or future timelines.Shove the current shit off to an alt earth.
>>152571096>Caped CrusaderNo.
Just be good. There's always at least one good Batman book on the rack. Right now, we're lucky to have more than one.
>Most of the character in OP pic outside Batman/Yonkler are barely used in Batman comicsGrim
>>152574282What are you talking about? Penguin was all over the place a couple years ago for TV show synergy.Two-Face was the main villain in Waid's B&R Year OneRobin has Nightwing, Titans, and the occasional World's Finest appearance.
>>152569687more Batman being a detective.no batfam.no joker.no harley.just batman alfred and gordon against Gotham's criminals.no shitty plot twists involving journos.
>>152573872>A world where Batman and Robin are allowed to stay ageless and eternal.and iconic forever that doesn't have to worry about decades of continuity or future timelines.Just read the original run of Batman Adventures.
After so many decades of sheer shit, I still believe in the bat. Dark Patterns (despite some flaws) proves Batman could still be great. The Batgod epidemic of the 2000's and 2010's has finally mostly died out, but you still need good stories that emphasize Batman and his world's best qualities instead of the shittiest ones.
Modernize this.Batman is 30ish. Peak hero. JLA Member. Billionaire capitalist. Adoptive Dad. Robin is 15ish. Teen Wonder. Teen Titan. High School Student.Batgirl is 16ish. New hero. College Student.Alfred, Lucius, and Leslie all know the secret.Gordon looks the other way.
>>152574625Comics are now feeder fish for adaptations that cannot succeed without female viewers, who won’t watch anything that isn’t about a big “found family” of quippy characters. In other words they suck on purpose.
>>152574343My Brother.>>152574625I like the idea that Gordon knows, but also knows that he shouldn't know.
>>152574343Not really what I mean, that's mostly Batman as a solo hero. I want the Dynamic Duo.
>>152569687Elseworld where Batman has superpowers from a Devilman situation (reverse demonic possession). He's in his mid twenties and barely scraping by after he and Alfred were driven out of Gotham when the Waynes were killed. Robin is a young woman who he saves from suicide. The two work together to save the city, and maybe fall in love along the way.
I want a full-length, multi-season, decently budgeted, DC live action Batman TV show centered around adult Bruce Wayne as Batman in the original timeline, fighting crime, solving mysteries, and defeating Batman villains. No show about the GCPD, no show about another hero pretending to be Batman, no show about young Bruce, no show about fucking Alfred, a BATMAN TV show. We haven't had this in 60+ years. To hell with your embargo.
>>152569687More like Dark Patterns Small late 80s/early 90s Tec style books, low stakes, mildly creepy, minimal if any Joker
>>152570123Kids don't watch cartoons anymore
>>152569687Something without The Joker in it.
>>152574762Turn Waid's Year One into an ongoing.
>>152577211Cartoons should be made for me not kids these days.
Batman is one of the rare instances where the broadcast standards work out in his favor. My biggest gripe with Batman in the comics doesn't really exist in cartoons where none of his villains are allowed to commit any truly heinous acts.
