Think of how dragon ball starts out as a gag manga about a silly monkey boy, before far later turning into a sci fi adventure where goku fights aliens and saves the universe. If you like wordy comics that have esoteric humor, a lot of visual gags, and is absolutely fucking soaked in cultural references, then i think theres the smallest chance you will like homestuck, at least at the beginning. At the same time, its very experimental nature and weird humor can be off putting, especially to anyone who expects a grand adventure comic, like is advertised by fans. Overall. Just give the comic a chance and read a couple pages. DONT WATCH THE VIVZIPOP PILOT, it will only confuse you and upset you. If you don't like it, thats more than ok, but if you do, well then you have a lot of comic to read full of stuff that I think is pretty awsome. best regards,a homestuck fan.

In the fact that that form turns you into a idealized version of yourself. god tiers are in general. they are kind of tragic in that it requires both a loss of life and a loss of innocence, in the fact that it requires the acceptance of mortality in exchange for power, and the fact that, the death itself is kind of permanent in a sense. given that the physical corpse of the child in question remains. Which is sad. But its also the fact that the form itself is so..childish. the clothes it puts you in are simple and dreamlike. Its almost like, turning into a children's book character. that dichotomy of giving up innocence and transitioning into adulthood, but those aspects that cling you to immaturity. its fascinating.
