This episode and gag are almost certainly the reason they've never actually made a Planet Of The Apes Broadway musical. Broadway has been shitting out musicals of everything over the last 20 years, you just know they'd have already done Planet Of The Apes if they didn't have classic Simpsons there to mock it well ahead of time. We should thank the show for sparing us from that, at least.

>>152573101Considering the all movies turned into broadway musicals they make now I'M surprised no one has actually made a Stop the Planet of the Apes I want to Get Off

I have no fucking interest in seeing any Broadway musical, but if they made a Planet Of The Apes musical comedy that was literally just a full-length version of the Simpson's gag, I'd probably pay to see it multiple times.

>>152573101I think the real reason is, you can't get Heston's energy in the "IT'S A MADHOUSE!" or the final scene in a Musical. It'd have to be an Opera.
