how much did cartoons and comics shape your moral systems?

do you think if you grew up now you'd have a fundamentally different belief system?

when did discussion topics that aren't lusting or shipping become bait

or is it just the mere mention of moral philosophy that does this

Hard to say, can't think of a sudden realization that I had after watching something. I'd say general positive morals etc, from Christian style "thou shalt not steal" to liberal "don't judge people based on appearances ".

Growing up I've become more cynical and conservative though, where I still believe in these kinds of things on principle but am now more suspicious and skeptical of others sharing those values.

How can they play string instruments without fingers? How is Bubbles holding those drumsticks?

Considering use of drugs fucksploded once cartoons stopped telling to do drugs and sitcoms promoted drugs as a fun activity, I'd say media have a huge influence over people's morals even if they don't realize it.

Did drug use increase because they stopped making anti drugs PSAs or did they stop making anti drug PSAs because people kept doing drugs regardless?

Cartoons? Only somewhat.
Growing Pains, other sitcoms like Different Strokes, etc? Yeah that's foundational. Despite not being too social myself, watching interactions confirmed to me and gave me examples of how, just like RPGs, conversation is an input-output type relation where what you say to somebody matters and that reactions are predictable in various contexts.
Television shows told me not only what not to say, but also there are bad ways of phrasing things even if the intention is the same as [phrasing it differently. Later I learned this as "how to speak to your audience" in English classes and in cheerleading when our coach decided we needed to dumb down certain elements of a routine in order to hit the stunt and that the judges don't know or judge what you cut out, they judge you on how well you perform the elements that are included. If that makes sense.
