>>152575259Cartoons will never reach anime if they keep making this kind of trash
I dunno, this new show feels too similar to Worthikid's "Free Apple" short. I don't think you can extend it to an entire season of content.>>152575305Not everything needs to be /a/
>>152575355/a/ stuff is objectively better than /co/ stuff, though. Though it's still not good because almost nothing is getting a dub worth watching.
To all fa/tg/uys here, how would your toons handle against The Barbarian? What would be a viable way of killing him if he's just Invincible? I feel like the only way of stopping him is >>152575368Watch it Subbed, my nigg/a/
>>152575490Fookin hell, I didn't even finish my own sentence, I meant to say is that you gotta Forcecage that bitch and then Disintegrate him
>>152575259>>152575305SwordGai?
>>152575259>>152575355Comparing this to "Free Apple" is the best metric to understand just how much this humor pales in comparison. Dungeon Soup makes good stuff using this patter when it's an insane dude like Barbarian encountering random NPCs & enemies who routinely find him off-putting, but Guy & Sword are too normal to be entertaining when they find themselves in peril. Meanwhile the King from Free Apple is extremely laid back while his owl squire Krebulon is very anxious. These extreme qualities to a duo make for a better contrast than "naive and knowledgeable" as with Guy & Sword. Then we gotta compare this undead guy against the old man in the cave: while both are completely unconvincing in their words, the old man actually sells his case with his sheer confidence just steamrolling over any concerns Krebulon raises. Both shorts are under 5 minutes. At 1:43 of this one, I stopped watching. At 1:43 of Free Apple, the King gets a game over and then builds on the gag by him coming back for round 2.All this before we even get into the difference in animation quality.
>>152575259Change the art style to something that doesn't give off the vibes of a Fox animated short and it might work
>>152575901Couldn't have said it better myself; Barbarian's psychotic tendecies makes him into a walking plot generator while Guy (what a bland fucking name) and Sword is just boring. DS came up with fun characters like the Wizard King or those celebrity gnomes, so I'm baffled as to why he didn't make an equally insane protagonist.
I liked the Insane Good Barbarian stuff but this was lame
>>152575490I watch plenty of anime subbed. I just don't want all the anime I watch to be subs. What's the best way to watch Escaflowne? I heard there's two or three English dubs for that show.
He's never written the best dialogue, but his new lead character bring up "The Barbarian" and say he'd like to meet him in the first episode was unnecessary and makes me feel like he doesn't feel like this can stand on it's own.
>>152575259Neat!
>>152575259The thumbnail looks good.
>>152575305Water is wet- this is not about anime. The main thing to know now is that the channel is back to animate again for more of the barbarian's cheevo madness.
>>152575259That’s just the Night Sword from Adventure Time
>>152580078I think it's more likely inspired by Stormbringer from Elric of Melniboné since it's sentient.
>>152580106..... nahhh it's the Night Sword from Adventure Time
>>152580078Adventure Time didn't invent the concept of swords with big eyes on its hilt, that's just kind of an old trope. Now, if the sword had a compass as well, THAT would be the Night Sword from AT.
>independent work>still has beanmouth, basedlennial title and presumably basedlennial humour (I'm not clicking this shit)It was never "the corpos" fault. The artists are just shit.
>>152575259ngl this wasnt very good especially compared to the barbarian but the joke about the ring got me.
