When I started reading comics I thought these three were gonna be a much bigger deal

"when i started reading it wasnt this particular thing"
thats fantastic my freind, please tell us more interesting facts
>>
>>152581516
sorry that you ended up how you did
>>
>>152581532
thats not a fact, thats an apology
>>
>>152581495
Most Titans villains aren't exactly big deals, the biggest Titans villain tends to just be interpersonal drama.
>>
>>152581495
Most of the villains from this show are literal who's in the comics. Either that or OCs
>>
>>152581495
I wonder if the Jinx from the cartoon took more inspiration from Shimmer rather than comics Jinx.

>"when I read the comic it wasn't what I expected coming from the 2003 cartoon"
The Teen Titans experience.
>>
>>152581635
Why did it change so much?
>>
idk why you are acting all bitchy OP is just saying the comics are just very different. It is sad that fans of the old cartoon had a shock if they even bothered reading the comics at all.
>>
>>152581964
because the comic kinda sucks ass
>>
>>152581964
Most artists aren't interested in doing 1 to 1 adaptations of the source material, for that, you can read the comic.
>>
>>152582020
Who's acting bitchy?
>>
>>152581964
I guess because the comic needed some support, it had its fans but it wasn't doing very well.
>>
>>152581563
This jinx is such an extreme glow up and upgrade. The original is a bald pajeeta.
>>
>>152582982
I don't even disagree, but I like bald girls so I feel personally attacked by this.
And don't say that original Jinx still exists because she had a modern redesign a while ago that gave her hair.
There is now one less bald girl in media and that sucks.
>>
>>152581495
What was your reaction to Jinx's "real" look?
>>
>>152582982
I once saw some fanart of her taking her hair down and revealing that there are horns under it and that's why it's shaped like that, like she does it to hide them. Thought it was a neat idea that works because her character doesn't exactly look fully normal human in general.
>>
>>152583195
>her character doesn't exactly look fully normal human in general.
She's just a fucking goth girl anon.
>>
>>152583242
Is that really all there is to her?
One could say that about Raven too just going off of visuals, but she's an inter-dimensional demon princess.
>>
>>152581495
Eh. They pop up every once in a while like they do in the show. It's really their designs that are very different, especially Jinx although Mammoth is pretty close. Gizmo in the comics having a beard threw me off.
>>
>>152584163
Jinx has pink hair(possibly a wig) in comics now.
>>
>>152584294
The comics have been taking more from the show to mixed results. Jinx looking like an amalgamation of her comics and cartoon version is good. Everything with Red X was bad.
>>
>>152584501
Agree on Red X.

What's worse is that he got away with killing several of the students at Titans Academy and the Titans haven't even bothered to hunt him down (this is probably due to later writers not wanting to revisit the Titans Academy era, but its a bad look for the Titans).
>>
>>152583895
Yeah, but at the same time, nothing about Jinx implies anything like that, she can just have weird hair, her look is honestly the most normal part about her.
>>
>>152581964
Glen Murakami read Wolfman's run snd sayd "dis shitto is so assu."
And made adjustments to make it less ass.
>>
in the series gizmo is basically cyborgs rival, in the comics he barely exists

>Deathstroke in other DC works: generic bounty hunter with a decent design, at most a c-teir villain
>Deathstroke in Teen Titans: Cryptic menace to society, absolute monster designed to manipulate and traumatize children
what compelled the writers of the show to make Slade into this beast?
>>
>>152587567
Deathstroke had his own series and was beating Batman and Flash. He's DC's most popular mercenary.
