I was hoping more Mickey cartoons entering the public domain would encourage more people to provide better scans than the overly compressed 20 year old Walt Disney Treasures copies but that hasn't happened yet

Yes but they're the same copies from Treasures
It's a shame Disney stopped giving a shit about their theatrical cartoons probably 10, 15 years ago, there's only probably a dozen available in HD, compare with Warner Bros who will put out entire runs on Blu-ray
Not too long ago Disney used the shit out of their classic cartoons, they were all over the parks, there were DVD sets, they'd run them on Toon Disney, etc, then it just stopped all of the sudden
Like in the parks there’s a "Classic cartoons" channel on their cable system thing and I was excited to see that, but I turned it on and it's just the Rudish shorts
The Rudish shorts are aight I guess but that's not what you sold me, I wanted the classic cartoons

The film studio exec that was the biggest champion of Treasures was fired after John Carter bombed.
