Plus, her whole arc about wanting to communicate better with Pomni was resolved off-screen (I guess for SVTFOE it's similar to Marco and Kelly breaking up off-screen). I don't think it screwed the whole thing up as I like the direction the main storyline in TADC is going, but Ragatha's arc was handled very poorly and lazily.

There were people like that Aval0nX /co/per cheering on Jarco's downfall and heralding in the era of Starco and what we would now know as the ruinous seasons 3 and 4. The warning signs were already showing (Battle for Mewni was pretty forgettable outside of the final act), but that breakup episode was where I could sense the fandom turning on the show. I don't know if we'll ever get the real answer. There are some like in this thread who believe Jackie and Brittany were "revengefic" characters based on real people meant to be humiliated but this is also rooted in fandom memes. We also have Cuntuggo to blame for injecting her ideas into the show and browbeating Daron. I also think there was some element of executive pressure.
