I don't fucking understand what the writers were thinking about when making Patrick say this if he's supposed to be an idiot. I'm pretty sure there were just jealous that they didn't join the military like I did. The army corps of engineers REALLY straightened out my life I'm not even joking. I used to have no fucking idea what to do with my pathetic life until I talked to a military recruiter. I didn't know whether to go to college or join the military but my recruiter said You're an eagle scout so you could do both by applying to West point. And that's what I did, I'm now a captain with bachelor's in civil engineering in the Army corps of engineers. I'm also getting my Masters in the army war college in Carlisle Pennsylvania. Soon I'll be able to retire into 6 more years with a pension of over $100,000 a year. I don't know what the actual fuck the writers were thinking about when they made this scene.It's a good episode overall, just not the scene
