The degeneration of the TADC fanbase is a fascinating case study in keeping a consistent upload schedule. Months between episode releases or even minisodes has made this fanbase eat itself alive, and now they're turning on the show itself since they have nothing else to talk about.

>>152588424They're not the most interesting of the characters, to start, and half of this deuteragonist duo was in no way very important to the story for about half the show's length. Episodes 1, 2, and 4 do not greatly emphasize Jax more than anyone else and he's basically a non-entity in 3. The pilot focuses on Pomni and Caine with Jax and Ragatha getting generally equivalent focus; 2 heavily focuses on Pomni and Gummigoo to, admittedly, the detriment of everyone else, though Ragatha and Kinger get a nice moment, also Jax is totally absent from the funeral; Episode 3 only has him around to throw Gangle's mask down the horror path to separate Kinger and Pomni, while Zooble and Caine's therapy session make up the rest of the important shit in the episode; episode 4 is solidly Gangle's ofc but Pomni and Gummigoo have a chunk of focus to themselves too, and Ragatha's stupid saucing is generally equivalent to Jax's backrooms reconditioning in terms of attention given to it, if not more. Only from episode 5 onward does Jax start to really step forward into the spotlight as "a main character", and that was supposed to be Ragatha's focus episode lol. I don't hate Jax as a character nor is Ragatha my favorite, I prefer Caine, Kinger, and Pomni over her, but I think it's very disingenuous of Goose and Jax fans to act like the show did not engage in something pretty close to a rug pull on the audience with the sudden and unbalanced shift in focus onto Jax which has come at the expense of almost every character except for Kinger and (maybe) Caine. Even Pomni has suffered a bit from the lopsided attention. This idea of them being the deuteragonists was not telegraphed well at the start and its execution leaves much to be desired.
