This is so cruel and horrible, it always pissed me off as a kid when Shrek turns this harmless innocent Frog that was of no threat to him or Fiona into a balloon and the same goes for the Snake too.They then literally just let the animals float of into the sky where they will probably suffer until they make it to space and die.What bothers me is the film tries to portray Shrek as the good guy and Farquaad as the bad guy when it's clearly the other way around.

>>152587914I did think that was a little mean. But they were trying to be anti-Disney so they had the characters be a little rude and edgy. While I wouldn't call him "good", Farquaad had a successful thing going on. Lots of farmland, a huge personal army, the (human) peasantry seemed to be happy even if the leader was kind of weird. I thought it was weird how the area turned into a ghost town after the dragon ate him. It was in one of those Shrek shorts where everything was creepy and desolate. Lots of developed land, the people are just going to leave? Why not wait for another nobleman to show up or elect a mayor?
