Unironically, the fact that male protagonists like Finn don't have close male friends, who aren't related to him, that people readily ship him with kinda does show a greater problem. Like every female character has like 3-5 friends who can be deployed at any time but characters like Finn, Marco or Dipper just don't. Like it's bizarre.
