And then Star Trek TNG got all sorts of 80s and early 90s anime references hidden in the lore and background props of TNG. Hell the Stargazer used Orguss and Macross plamo and a scene used Macross plamo as shrapnel in someone's face. The phasers use like Nadia the Secret of Blue Water shit. Dirty Pair and Uresei Yatsura is hidden everywhere.
Digimon has so many confirmed and non confirmed. First of all the entire art style was inspired by 90s extreme comics, Spawn and Hellboy. This guy was made in 2020 and they said Spawn and Venom inspired it.
