They likely live pretty solitary lives in the wild. They seem to be scavengers mostly. Opportunistically absorbing available nutrients while avoiding predators. Huntress had to be taught how to hunt, and her connection to nature came as a result of special training. The green magic came from communion with the Heart of the Forest. She's a simple being who gained her sick powers and skills from others, and made them her own through her various struggles. That's what's cool about her
