>>152789901This gives me a ton of nostalgia, I felt a lot of internal tearjerking emotion, it was a mix of both cute and grevious when Jessica and Rachel used Paulo, feeling it necessary for personal gain and revenge. A part of me really thought they felt fully attracted to him, well Rachel did, then he met a sweet girl like Jasmine who didn't simply use him for personal. Then there was the weight of Lucy and the girls acknowledging how much she fucked up with Mike. All the characters have such a deep, immersive, subjective, progressive/regressive bond with each other. Then there was the cathartic but heartbreaking emotional rant in December and the Volume 4 art style complimented the divine vibe from everything from Lucy's suicide contemplation to Mike interacting with his sassy sister and supportive mother to him finally meeting his pretty and sweet non-abusive childhood crush. I always loved the story but it emotionally and narratively peaked here, that and also after Lucy's suicide attempt was shown, and with Mike's traumatic nightmare where Sandy and Lucy haunt him. I begged for my cousin's hotspot just to bingeread this, he literally never saw me obsessed with a fiction like this before, it's going to be a challenge to live up to.But on the topic of art style, yeah, nothing lives up to Volume 4. Just that 4 had it peak, me of all people can't be picky about art quality but I'd just love to see the entire comic drawn in Elizabeth's or better, Teruko's style. I'd give anything for a Bittersweet Candy Bowl live-action motion capture drama movie series. I wouldn't want the characters to look like human reskins but retain their overall proportions with emphasis on parts like fur thickness to make them look unique. Motion capturing 3.D character models on actors would look better than makeup, or they can go full 3.D animation.
