Not even in the sense of “how dare he make jokes about feminist outrage and rape” but in the sense that the jokes aren’t funny and you get the sense that he’s still mad about controversies that happened a decade-plus ago.
I think his draftsmanship is underrated because of the shlocky subject matter he draws. He's a really good artist, not even by comic book standards but in general.
