>The new animated comedy, which will follow Stewie in preschool and explore time and space travel, comes from Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane and 20th Television Animation. It is targeted to premiere on Fox during the 2027-28 season, streaming next day on Hulu and internationally on Disney+.
>In the offshoot, after getting the boot from his old preschool, Stewie is forced to enroll in a new one that’s not exactly top-of-the-line. It’s attended by a handful of kids he doesn’t know, and a 75-year-old class turtle with a half-cocked theory on just about every subject. Stewie’s miserable, the other kids are miserable, and even the turtle is miserable… until Stewie begins rolling out his trusty array of devices to take them anywhere in space and time, turning every boring day at school into an insane and surreal adventure.

>Brian eventually breaks up with her
>She gets another boyfriend
>Brian becomes depressed and demoralized all because he listened to a stupid homosexual baby
I will never forgive Stewie for what he did to Brian. Jillian was the best thing that ever happened to him. It really was a downward spiral for Brian after breaking up with her & witnessing her cuck him for another guy. Instead he ends up dying & getting replaced in some later season before the writers brought him back again. If any character deserves to die & never come back, it's Stewie. He's a faggot, so that makes him a genetic deadend, like a dead branch that needs to be removed from a living tree. Stewie needs to pay & Brian needs his redemption arc. The worst mistake Brian ever did was listening to that goddamn faggot baby.

This seems like a one episode thing the mainline series could do. Honestly they had a much easier setup for a spinoff years ago with Brian getting kicked out of the house, living in a crappy apartment, getting a new job, an attempted love interest at said job, having a landlord character, and having a cliche plot where he can view his neighbors and think a murder happened. This Stewie thing wouldn't even really work much as a new set of episode ideas in the original series (and not because it feels too different or unique, but because it feels too simple/samey with what they've already done with Brian.)

Unless this dies before release it's wild to be here for the announcement of some random shit like this again.

This is such an unexpected direction to go in for a Family Guy spin-off. Isn't Stewie already half the show? Chris and Meg comparatively are non-characters, leaving Stewie with some of the most screen-time. Not to mention he's typically the go-to when Brian needs to be paired up with a Griffin. Just seems kind of redundant, but I hope it's fun

>seems rather unlikely
Not as unlikely as you hope. The whole halfassed release is just the usual tactic of confirming the expected offenses and downplaying the nastier allegations. Think about the fact there's so much focus on all these influential men being serviced by underaged girls, there's no mention of the boys and men they probably roped into the mix too.

Just imagining the horrendous hodgepodge of Family Guy-isms and music, and Rick and Morty-isms the opening will have. There's no way a concept like this won't have an opening that feels like it's aping R&M since it's such an overlapping concept a normal FG episode (Peterminator iirc) already had Stewie use Rick's portal gun. And I know they're going to make at least one more direct reference to it in one of the episodes of this.

I know this absolutely does not affect the show much since they've barely ever used his preschool despite struggling for ideas for 20 years, but I do wonder if they'll keep this up in the main show. He's not being fully sent away so I could see them off-handedly either promoting the spinoff by acknowledging his new school randomly in one episode, with a direct plug, or at least "Hey don't you go to some other school in your spinoff? Isn't that kind of confusing?" "Brian if you don't like it go on the internet and complain."

But I could also see them not timing this to each other at all, or caring and just having him in his normal preschool in some scenes while this is airing at the same time. Also this means like a 1 hour family guy block probably. Not like they don't seem to air 2 new FGs sometimes together anyway.
>>
>>152796942
It's wild to imagine them having to come up with new kids for Stewie to interact with that have enough characterization (or just enough like Cleveland Show) to hold prominent status for 2 seasons, considering they've rarely ever done that for him even just on a per episode basis. Excluding Betram (more unique dynamic rather than "classmate") I recall:
>Olivia who appeared in 2 old episodes and then a way later third, modern appearance
>that one random black kid Stewie wanted to have a birthday party with, the most casual attempt at a storyline (but they met at a playground idk if they went to school together.)
>Doug who was randomly fairly consistent as a new rival for him, teasing a friendship sometimes, and then just unceremoniously written off/killed off screen
Also I guess this one female evil stewie he fights in one episode.

I don't think this will be good but I'm really curious what they'll cobble together since they've never fully commited to Stewie's school life as an avenue for stories before. It took them forever to make his preschool have a consistent design.
>>
>>152797557
I could see it being both, something they match on, them thinking it's marketable and Seth saying "yeah, it's like our thing." Even Ted is "Guy and talking animal" even if it's not wrapped around the nuclear family concept. This sounds more forced than Clevelend Show's Even a Bear and I'm saying that a decade after it's ended and we know how sparsely used he was and Seth not caring to voice him by the end.

It's really funny to imagine the one thing that ever felt effort was involed and commonly enjoyed about modern Family Guy were Brian & Stewie sci-fi plots and now they're having to give 2 seasons of sci-fi plot ideas to a spinoff. Imagine how much this is going to strain them. Maybe this will lead to some grand return of Road To episodes to make up for it.

Also I bet in the spinoff, Stewie will say to one of his friends at some point "this is way more fun than doing this stuff with my dog." They will cut to some random shot of Brian either saying "fuck you" or being lonely or fucked over.

I never thought they'd try another Family Guy spinoff after openly mocking the failure of Cleveland's on the show down to bad demographic appeal AND writing quality. I assumed either they'd get that fabled FG movie out one day or nothing else unique again.

In a better world it'd be Krapopolis, but unfortunately it' will probably be Grimsburg.

We already had this.

Lindsay Lohan actually did a pretty good job voicing Maggie, it was one of the few highlights of an otherwise unremarkable episode.

If Seth is actually the show runner and they're not just slapping his name on it like they have done with other shows I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt that he has something interesting in mind for it. I doubt he would want to return to slaving away at a Family Guy spin-off if he didn't think he had something good considering how many options this guy does have to do whatever the fuck he wants compared to other creators.

At worst I think we'll end up with something that feels like the same quality FG seasons 9-10 left off at since that's around the point he left Family Guy to pursue other shit.

And they laughed at Smiling Friends for choosing to go out with honor. The shamelessness of the suits.

That would unironically be hilarious if they exactly copied the Cleveland Show theme

Is one of those the pedophile?

Doug seemed like the showrunners doing Chris Parnell a favor by giving him a job so he could make a house payment.

>and a 75-year-old class turtle
idk why i thought the use of turtle was metaphorical and that there was a 75-year-old classmate who never graduated from the preschool
>>
Probably should've done this a decade ago

What if they bring back Rallo for this? He hasn't done anything since Cleveland's family came back and they dropped the ball on pairing him with Stewie, all the sake for a single joke.
>>
>>152791255
>set in preschool
>involves time and space travel
that's already every stewie focused episode
>>

I don't like how correct you are

Anyone besides Cleveland even appeared in the last 2 seasons? I think they really just want to memoryhole the Cleveland show because it failed so hard to resonate with blacks
>>

Donna makes recurring appearances as Lois' friend. Cleveland Jr. showed up and spoke a few times. Rallo hasn't said anything since Cleveland's return, and Roberta hasn't spoken a single word.
A lot of missed opportunities, especially with Stewie and Rallo stories. That's why I hope they take this spinoff as an opportunity for him to be part of Stewie's class.

I'm black and I liked it a lot
