They're giving anyone their own series nowadays what the fuck is animation that dead?
>>

>giving the gay baby his own show
This timeline sucks
>>
>>152791263
I think this can work, if the original creator is behind it and the supporting cast is decent. I am not upset about this, I mean it makes some degree of sense with how Rick and Morty was a success. It would probably be the best way that the family guy brand could expand out into something like that. If they couldn't make a new IP for it.

It would also be better if his characterization was closer to the earlier seasons.
>>
>>152791263
Finish the Orvilles season 5 you unfunny gay fuck.
>>
>>152791296
Fuck you, the Brian and Stewie-focused eps are the best Family Guy eps I will admit that is not a very high bar to clear
>>
>>152793084
'til the famous brian gets hit by a car
>>
100% Macfarlane saw Rick and Morty and said "I can do a mad scientist show!"
>>
Why not just do that on family guy?
>>
>>152793084
Yeah because they just face-lift old Hollywood movies most of the time, everything from the plots to the songs.
>>
>>152791263
Meg-Venture Time would have been better. I mean think about it, Meg's life is pretty fucking wild when she's not getting shit on. Add crazy shit that she has to deal with only to get shat on again is just funny.

Imagine, in the middle of a tense stand off with a creep stealing panties from the girls locker room, after him going "Eww...I hope none of these are yours..." and her in the middle of an impassioned speech she gets a call on her phone.

"Hold on I gotta take this... This is Meg?"

>"Shut up Meg."

"...Sigh"

>>152794556
Stewie hasn't been a mad scientist in ages. He hasn't threatened to kill Lois in ages, either. What DOES Stewie do on the show these days?
>>
>>152794619
Be gay?
>>
>>152794619
he does do mad science stuff, he's basically Rick Sanchez without being a nihilist or a hetero
>>
>>152791263
I don't even know why they need to make a Stewie spinoff, he's pretty much already replaced Peter as the main character
>>
>>152794641
Except not really because all of his major love interests except Brian have been girls.
>>
>>152792376
>if the original creator is behind it

do you know who seth macfarlane is.. he is the creator and he wants to spinoff stewie. its like you are brand new here

No anon, not everyone you disagree with is a newfag.
I don't think he's that bad. Not amazing either though. He is basically the Butch Hartman of adult cartoons. But I don't think he's been involved with Family Guy for years, has he? I don't remember, I haven't checked on it in years.
>>
>>152794797

he is the CREATOR and apparently he is coming back as CREATOR and WRITER of the spinoff. do any if you people research anything?

Seth McFarlane gets his money to fund the next season of The Orville.

MY NAME'S STEWIE GRIFFIN

AND I AM PROUD TO BE

WITH MY BEST FRIEND, BRIAN

NOW SOMEONE PLEASE CHANGE ME
>>
>>152794821
I'm not sure what your problem is. I already understood that he's the creator and he was coming back as the writer. It's literally in the OP. Are you actually telling me that you thought I didn't realize that from the get go? Why would you think that? What about how I phrased it conveyed that to you?
>>
>>152794853

im sorry all I saw was "DUUHHHHHHHH IM A RETARD" please try again
>>
>>152794871
Damn, hopefully that braille screen display gets easier to read sometime. Wanna talk about comics and cartoons now?
>>
There's gonna be a gag this season or next where Stewie's arguing with Brian and Cleveland and than he's gonna turn to the screen joking about being given his own spin-off. To which Cleveland confirms he is, and that it isn't as great as it seems and to get ready to miss his friends and family for 4 years.
>>
>>152794700
Yeah its the opposite of what happened with the simpsons where bart originally was the main character for the first few seasons but homer gradually became the main character afterwards
>>
Deadline always posts fake articles. Seth has zero interest in doing anything with Family Guy characters, they're a paycheck.

Also it would be absolutely stupid to make a Stewie show without Brian, like, they're literally voiced by the same guy so they wouldn't even have to add a second paycheck.
>>
>>152794782
I remember Seth Macfarlane himself supported a post calling people out about caring more about the death of a fictional character than real people.

THERE'S OLD FRIENDS

AND NEW FRIENDS

AND EVEN A TURTLE
>>
>>152791263
Surprised they didn't just see a pitch for Grimsburg and say "no thanks" and then turn around and make a Joe cop drama spinoff. I feel like this is the one thing people would actually want to see.
>Stewie's has more variety potential, but everyone's already had this exact structure and liked it with Brian and Stewie teamups. Slightly changing it to "he hangs out with some new kids and a turtle" for 2 seasons sounds like a diminishment of a tried and true formula.
>Joe could be taken more seriously, for the people who actually comment on the characters in this show, everyone knows they've run Joe's "My wife hates and tries to kill me, all my friends don't like me or acknowledge when I speak, and I have to pee into a bag and my wife just told me my mom died" jokes into the fucking ground. His cop plots were always more rare in the show so giving him a spinoff to commit to him actually being a cop would be "interesting" for people. Especially a real focus on plot change, not just "Peter rides along and is a nuisance" but about Joe actually dealing with 22 min crime plots. Don't even need an overarching plot.
>People find Patrick Warburton funny from his deliveries alone and probably funnier than both modern Stewie and Brian combined

But no, do the safest option no one will care about, sets itself apart from something it has already done well for most of its run, but "sounds the most marketable."
>inb4 "a Joe cop show would just be too American Dad"
They barely focus on his CIA work and you can actually make the plot tone more "grim" over "Stan is infatuated with a russian doll?!"
>>
>>152798013
Regardless of a Joe show or a Stewie show they'll certainly do the same acknowledgement of derivative qualities.
>Stewie will say "I was doing this BEFORE Rick & Morty you 12 year old twats! I traveled the multiverse in bloody 2009!"
>Joe would get confused for Stan or a CIA agent (an inverse of the crossover moment) to acknowledge it's like AD
>>
>>152791263
How much longer is Seth gonna keep dying his hair black? This is getting sad..
>>
This is like doing a spinoff for kramer from seinfeld
>>
>>152791263
Without looking, I guess that Stewie goes to a school for gifted kids, paid by Lois' grandparents.
>>
isn't this just rugrats?
>>
>>152798943

hes rich thats why. U JELLY?
