Thoughts on Bechdel's comics?
I think nobody has read them. People just know about the Bechdel test.

>>152799388The thing about "the Bechdel test" is the context in which it was presented was essentially a gag strip and Bechdel's point was just that she'd like to see more movies with meaningful female interactions (also in the context of cinema as it was in 1985) not that her fictional character's personal tastes should be applied word-for-word to every movie as an actual test of its feminist credentials.
