The ended the lore like 2 seasons ago abruptly in the most unsatisfying way possible. The hack writers were stringing viewers along for seasons but never had an idea where they wanted to take the evil Rick story, so they just had Rick find him and kill him instantly in an episode and then get over all the trauma he put him through the moment it happened.
